This week we had visits from two totally unrelated friends. Our friend Ling stayed overnight on her way back to Hawaii from a Zen retreat in upstate New York. On the same day she left, Kanako, G’s friend from college, flew in from Tokyo. NEC had flown her and her boss out to receive a One Show Interactive pencil (they won best of show!).

Neither expected the early summer-like weather we’ve had. I cranked up the aircon for the first time this week. I’m not looking forward the hot muggy summer but I’m happy to have an air-conditioner unlike old apartment in Manhattan.
