Happy Valentines for those of you with someone. Happy Black Monday for those of who aren’t.
This weekend they opened the “Gates”, art installation in Central Park by Environmental artist, Christo. While the weather was rather cold and overcast, it didn’t stop throngs of people from walking through the park as if it were summer. Giselle, Em and I went were among the many visitors on opening day. See Park Photos
This comical image is my friend Roz (though it could easily be her husband Harris for all I know) wearing an Afghan burka while walking through Central Park. My friend Roz is putting the burka on Ebay in a fundraising auction to for AïNA (a non-profit org that promotes grass roots media education in Afghanistan). Roz has just returned from a 3 month trip in Afghanistan, bringing this authentic burka with her.
