Tom Cruise, 42 is engaged to Katie Holmes, 26? Well at least that’s not as bad as Michael Douglas or Billy Joel. Is it a made up relationship set up by Tom’s agent? Who cares, she got a 15 karat rock on her hand. You go girl!
So G and I saw Batman begins and thought it was awesome. So much better than any of the other previous Batman films, it really does justice to the Dark Knight and Year 1 comic books. I’d even say it was better than any of the Star Wars prequals.
Christian Bale does an amazing job. The only weak link was that I didn’t buy Katie Holmes playing an Assistant District Attorney. She’s not bad, but they should have changed her character to a cub reporter on the crime beat, at least it would have fit her demeanor. Or maybe cast somebody tougher like Julia Stiles or Jessica Alba or even Brittany Murphy.
