So I’m thinking the pitch meeting went something like this,
Writer: “…ok imagine Pineapple Express meets The Long Kiss Goodnight.”
Studio Exec: “The Long Kiss, it that a foreign film?”
Writer: “No, it was an action-spy film starring Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson”
Exec: “We can’t afford Sam Jackson.”
Writer: “That’s ok, we haven’t asked him. But I’ve got Jesse Eisenberg attached to this. You know, he was nominated for Best Actor in the Social Network.”
Exec: “…But he didn’t win the Oscar?”
Writer: “I also have Kristen Stewart, from the Twilight films?”
Exec: “Great! Lets do it. What’s the title again?”
