Our friend Ling, a marine biologist from Hawaii, was in town this weekend and we took her to see a new Broadway play, “Jumpers” which can best be described as a philosophy lecture wrapped in a comedy, dressed as a murder mystery. It’s a new play from London and it was quite entertaining.

We also enjoyed the floral splendors of Spring at the Brooklyn Botanical gardens at their annal Cherry Blossom festival. We were rather disappointed by the rather limited amount of Japanese foods available at the ‘festival’, which is rather odd as that’s a major component of festivals in Japan.

Unfortunately have been lived on an island in the middle of the Pacific for two years, I forgot one other thing about Spring in New York. Allergies. Even with Claritin, I’m feeling like crap C’est la vie, And I can’t believe it’s May already?!

By the way, this is where I saw that spork. Evidently it makes a great gift for a ‘Sporting and Adventurous Mom”
